Terms of Service.

Use Best Data Viz for visualizing data you are allowed to work with. Pay for the credits you buy, keep your sign-in details safe, and do not try to break the service. If something goes wrong, we'll try to fix it, and if you are unhappy within 14 days of a purchase we'll refund the credit pack.

We let you upload or paste tabular data, describe what you want to see, and receive a ranked set of AI-generated chart options you can edit and export. We pick chart types using the design principles catalogued in our encyclopedia and we rank them by confidence.

Everything on the marketing site (encyclopedia, principles, examples) is free to read. The app is free to try - three generations without an account - and paid thereafter.

You may create one account. You are responsible for what happens under it, including keeping your credentials safe. Tell us right away at davis.townsend@s-tier-analytics.com if you think your account has been compromised.

• One credit = one generation request. Each request returns five ranked chart options.
• Packs are sold at the prices listed on the /pricing page. Credits do not expire.
• Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not store full card details.
• Unused packs are refundable in full within 14 days. Generations you have already run are not refundable. The full refund policy lives on /pricing#refunds.

Do not upload data you are not allowed to use. Do not upload anyone else's personal data without their consent or another lawful basis. Do not use the service to break the law, harass anyone, build a competitor by scraping our output at scale, or reverse-engineer our prompts or models.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. If we do, unused credit packs are still refundable for 14 days.

You own the data you upload and the charts you export. By using the service, you grant us a limited, time-boxed license to process that data in the ways described in our Privacy Policy (generation, preview, export). We do not train models on your data.

We try to keep the service available and fast, but we don't guarantee zero downtime. We may change or retire features with reasonable notice. Material changes to these terms will be announced on the site and (for account holders) by email before they take effect.

Chart recommendations and annotations are generated by AI models. We have engineered them to follow our design principles and to flag low-confidence picks, but we do not guarantee they are always right for your question. Please sanity-check anything you ship to stakeholders.

We provide the service on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits - if so, they apply only to the extent permitted by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where our operating entity is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in courts of that jurisdiction.
